In labia reduction operations the size of the inner
labia is reduced so that they do not “hang” outside the
outer labia. In the operation, the enlarged parts of the inner labia are removed so that the inner labia are flush with the outer labia. The front part, the fold around the clitoris, should always be preserved. The operation is performed under sedation and local anaesthesia. The stitches disappear by themselves. Swelling, a tight feeling, and bruising are present several weeks after the operation. |
